Welcome to the first session of our Spring Up the Deal series! As part of our Impact Funds Initiative, from March to June we will hold a series of online dealsharing sessions where EVPA members will present interesting deals for potential co-investment. Join us to learn more about these inspiring social ventures!

In this edition, Oltre Impact & Hivos Impact Investments will tell us about:

  • Erbert: an innovative start-up that contributes to people's well-being through healthy eating, without sacrificing taste. Their goal is to create a chain of shops, structured as real contemporary markets, where it is sustainable to eat well. (Oltre Impact)
  • Ziweto Enterprises Limited is a network of franchised agro/vet shops providing veterinary solutions for small-holder farmers in Malawi. (Hivos Impact Investments)

Gaetano Giuffre

Gaetano Giuffre

Gaetano is an Investment Manager at Oltre Impact, the main Italian Impact Investing fund.

Since 2019, he has been working within Oltre team to invest in several companies and help them scaling-up their business and impact.


Keith Wallace

Keith Wallace

Keith Wallace is a Scotsman with a passion for entrepreneurs and deal-making. Having co-founded the Dutch Investors Club (DeInvesteerdersClub) he put his vision of joint investments within the Netherlands and further afield into effect.

With deals in Africa and Asia, as well as Europe, this small group of active investors has striven from the beginning to make impact as well as financial returns. Working with the Hivos Foundation, he was part of the team that founded Hivos Impact Investments, where he sits in the investment team and manages the portfolio companies of the Hivos Food and Lifestyle Fund. Keith is also Global Ringmaster of Get In The Ring, an international entrepreneurial competition that takes place in over 100 countries and allows him to work with entrepreneurs and investors from a different perspective.

Nsamwa Mwale is a Operations Manager and Investment Officer at Hivos Impact Investments - Lusaka Office. She is a impact investment analyst, business developer and founder of Dash 'n Deliver and Zorbit Waste Management Ltd.


Srujith Lingala

Srujith Lingala

Srujith Lingala is the Technology & Entrepreneurship Manager at Sight and Life. In his role, Srujith works closely at the intersection of business and development designing and implementing social business innovations that improve availability and affordability of nutritious foods in low-and middle-income countries.

Prior to joining Sight and Life, he has worked with governments, non-profits, international organizations and the private sector, and brings a unique perspective to his work. Srujith holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Columbia University, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management and a Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering.


Antonello Sinigaglia

Antonello Sinigaglia

Antonello has over 35 years of experience in food retail industry. In 2018, together with Enrico Capoferri (ex Auchan) and the Oltre Impact fund, he co-founded the company Eatright (Erbert), of which he is now Senior Advisor, mainly supporting the Business Development.

After few years of buying experience in Belgium and Italy he was the General Manager of supermarkets of Auchan Group in Italy for 13 years.

In 2013 within the Auchan Group he created a new concept of drugstore (Lillapois) and developed a chain of stores in Italy, Russia and Romania.


Victor Chambayika Mhango

Victor Chambayika Mhango

Victor is a Malawian Entrepreneur who is the Founder & Executive Chairman of Ziweto Enterprises Limited, a social business that distributes quality and affordable veterinary and animal nutrition products through micro-franchised agrovet shops (15 at present) across Malawi.

The mission of Ziweto is "raising the value of livestock for better human lives". He is an experienced Programme Development and Management Specialist with 15 years of work experience with local and international non-governmental organizations in Malawi that include Heifer International, Land O' Lakes, Practical Action and TechnoServe. Victor is contributing to growth of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Malawi through active mentorship of several start-up enterprises.


Alessia Gianoncelli

Alessia Gianoncelli

With almost a decade of experience in the social investment space, Alessia is the Director of Knowledge and Programs at EVPA. As part of her role, she is responsible for research activities, content development, data collection, and community engagement.

Alessia co-authored publications, practical cases, and articles on topics such as venture philanthropy, impact measurement and management, impact strategies, the European impact ecosystem and tailored and hybrid finance. Thanks to her research, she prominently contributed to the EVPA narrative around investing for impact, and she has been invited to speak at international conferences and give guest lectures at European Universities and Business Schools (e.g. Nova School of Business and Economics, Luiss - Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, INSEAD Business School in Paris, Solvay Brussels School Economics & Management).

Alessia also started the EVPA initiative "Foundations Along the Spectrum of Capital" in collaboration with Philea, which she now co-leads. She cooperates with EVPA's sister organisations in Latin America, Asia and Africa (IVPC, Latimpacto, AVPN and AVPA) to strengthen the collaboration among actors active in the global impact ecosystem, by sharing learning, facilitating the exchange of experiences and contributing to scale successes across regions. Alessia was a blue book trainee at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, specifically working on social enterprises and SMEs market assessment and on funding opportunities to support social investment.


Gianluca Gaggiotti

Gianluca Gaggiotti

Gianluca Gaggiotti is Knowledge Manager at EVPA. He focuses on data analysis and content development of several research-related initiatives.

Gianluca joined EVPA in 2017, and since then has developed an in-depth knowledge on the impact ecosystem and all the actors involved in it. Gianluca has previously worked as a Research Assistant for several project related to development and social network economics at Bocconi University.

He holds a Master degree in Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University with a thesis on the effect of terrorism on political outcome in the US.
