Overview

During this webinar, a representative of the European Commission will present InvestEU, focusing on the social investment pillar, and a VP/SI practitioner will guide us through what changes on a practical level.

On 11th December from 15.00-16.30 (CET), EVPA will be hosting a free webinar on InvestEU - the European Investment Framework 2021-2027. The InvestEU programme will bring together under one roof various EU financial instruments currently available to support investment in the EU, making EU funding for investment projects in Europe simpler, more efficient and more flexible. During this webinar, representatives of the European Commission will present InvestEU, focusing on the social investment pillar, and a practitioner will guide us through what changes on a practical level.

Bennet Barth

Bennet works across MAZE's acceleration programmes and product development within the capital advisory team. He previously worked in renewable energy in Vietnam. MSc in Economics from NOVA SBE.


Bernardo Urrutia

Bernardo Urrutia

Bernardo Urrutia works in the European Commission's Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.

He's part of the team designing the "Social Investment and Skills Window" of the InvestEU Programme. Bernardo has worked previously for the Commission in the fields of RTD projects, Regional Policy, Anti-trust and State Aid control, Galileo and Connecting Europe Facility, among other EU Policy files.


Dr. Markus Freiburg

Dr. Markus Freiburg

Together with Ashoka, Markus has founded the Financing Agency for Social Entrepreneurship (FASE) in Germany. FASE helps leading social enterprises across Europe in raising hybrid growth capital so that they can scale their social impact.

So far, FASE has built an open pipeline of investment-ready social enterprises and closed more than 30 transactions leveraging more than EUR 14 million impact investments. Prior to this, Markus worked for more than 7 years as consultant for McKinsey & Company. Markus studied Business Administration and Economics at the Universities of Witten/Herdecke and Cambridge and received his Ph.D. from the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.
